Ed Holland
descends from Jimmie and Jerutha Holland's first son Elisha
through Elisha and Patience Watkins's 7th son Absalom (about 1802 - about 1898),
through Richard (1842 - 1882) and Bethany Barnes,
through Murray Manning Holland (1873 - 1934) and Mattie Sasser,
and his parents Russell Manning Holland (1904 - 1983) and Minnie Lee Barnes.
This makes Ed the 4th great grandson of James
'Jimmie' Holland and 4th cousin to me.
I first met Ed on the Internet in April 1997. We have visited Ed and Eunice at their home in Mauldin, SC and have enjoyed comparing family notes and exchanging news. They have 3 children: Michael Gordon Holland, Donald Manning Holland, and Janice Lee Holland, and a lovable little fuzz-ball of a dog named Rush Limbaugh. Ed's many interests include woodworking, gardening, genealogy, and grandkids.
