Jonathan Holland d. 1816 Fayette Co PA Jonathan Holland (d. 1816 Fayette Co PA) m. in 1789 Urith Ridgely, the widow of Westall Ridgely Jr. of Frederick Co MD, in either Baltimore or Frederick Co MD (the marriage license was apparently registered in both counties). Does anyone know Urith's family name?
In addition to being the second wife of a Holland, Urith Ridgely was also the grandmother of many Hollands -- her daughter Jane married Otho Holland, younger brother of Jonathan, in 1782 Frederick Co MD.
(Urith is sometimes referred to as "Sarah Urith" in many genealogies on the
web -- the original source of this usage has eluded me too!)
