This page is a sub-section of Richard Holland and his wife Bethany Barnes.  It shows the family and descendants of their first child, Etta Holland and her husband Bryant Cuddington.  Etta and Bryant Cuddington  had twelve children. Richard Holland is son of Absalom Holland. 

Absalom's children:

1.  Etta Holland, first child of Richard Holland and Bethany Barnes, was born 22 January 1872 and died 27 April 1927.  After the death of her parents when she was 10, Etta lived with her uncle William W. Holland for a short time, then lived with the Enoch Edgerton family.  She was married at the home of Enoch Edgerton by Elder J. H. Worley on 28 February 1892 to James Bryant Cuddington who was born 16 April 1866 in Wayne County, North Carolina and died 29 March 1920.  Both are buried in Holly Springs Cemetery.
Children of Etta Holland and Bryant Cuddington:

1.  Lloyd Cicero Cuddington was born 25 February 1893.  He did not marry.

2.  Richard Herman Cuddington was born 19 July 1894 in Wayne County, North Carolina. He died 15 May 1949 in Goldsboro Hospital and was buried in Barden Cemetery.  He married 2 November 1916 Mattie Irene Barden, daughter of David Barden and Sallie Radford. Mattie was born 10 January 1895, died 19 February 1964, and was buried in Barden Cemetery.
Children of Richard Herman Cuddington and Mattie Barden: 

1.  James Cedric Cuddington was born 28 August 1917 in Wayne County, North Carolina;  married Margaret Edmundson on 25 December 1942.

2.  Lester Barden Cuddington was born 14 November 1919 in Wayne County, North Carolina.  He married Frances Williamson.

3.  Reilly Herman Cuddington was born 16 January 1921 in Duplin County, North Carolina.

4.  Mattie Ann Cuddington was born 24 June 1932 in Wayne County, North Carolina.  She married Paul W. Rothlinger on 17 December 1948.

5.  Mary Frances Cuddington was born 27 December 1934.

3.  Vernon Clifford Cuddington was born 18 November 1895 in Wayne County, North Carolina, died 29 December 1960, and was buried in Raines Crossroads Cemetery. He married Carrie Lewis in July 1916.  She was born 9 January 1898 in Johnston County, North Carolina.
Children of Vernon Clifford Cuddington and Carrie Lewis: 

1. Vernon Cuddington was born 3 September 1917 in Wayne County, North Carolina.   He died 3 September 1917 and was buried in Old Sasser Mill Cemetery.

2.  Rachel Cuddington was born and died 1 July 1918 in Wayne County, North Carolina; buried in Old Sasser Mill Cemetery.

3.  Ethel Cuddington was born 23 June 1919 in Johnston County, North Carolina. She died 31 August 1920 and was buried in Old Sasser Mill Cemetery. 

4.  James Cuddington was born 26 April1922 in Wayne County, North Carolina.   He died 30 August 1922 and was buried in Old Sasser Mill Cemetery.

5.  Aubrey Wreb Cuddington was born 21 September 1924 in Wayne County, North Carolina. He  married Lois Edgerton on 21 June 1944.  She was born 15 May 1927 in Wayne County, North Carolina, daughter of Roland G. Edgerton and Linda Brogden.
Children of Aubrey Cuddington and Lois Edgerton:

1.  Richard E. Cuddington was born 20 September 1947 in Johnston County, North Carolina.

2. Infant boy, born and died 26 April 1951 in Wayne County, North Carolina.

3.  Brenda Lois Cuddington was born 9 June 1953 in Wayne County, North Carolina.

6.  Donald Cuddington died at birth and was buried in Old Sasser Mill Cemetery.

7.  Ernestine Cuddington died at birth and was buried in Old Sasser Mill Cemetery.

8.  Betty Jean Rose, foster daughter, was born 8 September 1935 in Kenly, Johnston County, North Carolina. 

4.  Joseph Murray Cuddington was born 27 June 1897.  He married Ide Gertrude Mumford on 2 October 1920.  She was born 22 September 1902, the daughter of John Mumford and Suzzie Taylor.  She died 4 August 1963, and was buried in Fremont Cemetery in Fremont, Wayne County, North Carolina. 
Children of Joseph Murray Cuddington and Ide Mumford:

1.  Joseph Mumford Cuddington was born 3 January 1922.  He married Dorothy Lee Phillips on 19 January 1946.  She was born 19 September 1925, daughter of Millard Phillips and Ellen Evans.

1.  Jo Etta Cuddington was born 13 August 1947.

2.  Janice Sue Cuddington was born 28 January 1949.

3.  Betsy Lynn Cuddington was born 19 January 1950.

4.  Stephen Murray Cuddington was born 12 November 1951.

5.  Evonia Lee Cuddington was born 16 June 1955. 

2.  Marjorie Earle Cuddington was born 15 September 1924.  She married John David Gainus who was born 3 December 1920, the son of Joe Henry Gainus and Vyne Pennuel. 
Children of Marjorie Earle Cuddington and John David Gainus:

1.  Johnny Gainus was born 1 May 1952.

2.  David Earl Gainus was born 1 September 1954.  He died 8 September 1961, and was buried in Gurnes Cemetery, Route 1, Albertson, Duplin County, North Carolina.

3.  Murray Timothy Gainus was born 27 March 1962. 

3.  Imogean Cuddington was born 2 January 1931.  She married James Donnahue Winders who was born 7 February 1928, the son of Benjamin Winders and Myrtic P. Minshew.
Child of Imogean Cuddington and James Donnahue Winders: 

1.  Donna Jean Winders was born 27 July 1960.

4.  Shelia Gertrude Cuddington was born 15 April 1951.

5.  Bethany Cherry Cuddington was born 12 January 1899.  She married Jesse James Hawley on 11 December 1927.  He was born 12 May 1903 in Wayne County, North Carolina, the son of James Hawley.

1.  Jesse James Hawley, Jr., was born 30 January 1928 in Johnston County, North Carolina. He married Margaret Ann Grant who was born 28 January 1933, daughter of Bud Grant.

2.  Bethany Marie Hawley was born 12 October 1932 in Johnston County, North Carolina.  She married Charles Williams 10 December 1955.  She died 29 November 1960, and was buried at Stoney Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Wayne County, North Carolina.  

3.  Charles Ray Hawley was born 26 April 1934 in Johnston County, North Carolina.  He married Dorothy Joyce Wilson on 31 August 1963.  She was born 29 January 1946, daughter of Owen Hubert Wilson.

4.  Wreb Eugene Hawley was born 23 January 1938 in Wayne County, North Carolina. 

6.  Wreb Cobb Cuddington was born 13 November 1900.  He died 29 March 1920, and was buried in Holly Springs Cemetery.

7.  Son, born and died day of birth, August 1903.

8.  Deborah Ellen Cuddington was born 25 June 1904 in Wayne County, North Carolina.  She married Hugh Gordon Aycock on 2 December 1922.  He was born 12 April 1902 in Wayne County, North Carolina.

1.  Royal Bryant Aycock was born 2 December 1925 in Wayne County, North Carolina. He married Inez Toler in Wayne County in 1943.

1.  Jimmy Ballard Aycock was born 11 September 1947 in Wayne County, North Carolina.

2.  Timothy Bryant Aycock was born 18 December 1953 in Wayne County, North Carolina. 

2.  Elizabeth M. Aycock was born 21 January 1928 in Wilson County, North Carolina. She married Luby P. Bradshaw in October 1946.

1.  Julian Tony Bradshaw was born 3 August 1947 in Wilson County, North Carolina.

2.  Carlton Hugh Bradshaw was born 22 June 1953 in Wilson County, North Carolina.

3. Bobby Hugh Aycock was born 1 April 1935 in Wilson County, North Carolina. He married Edith Sue White of Warren, Arkansas, on 14 June 1957.

1.  Debra Diane Aycock was born 20 July 1958 in Beaufort County, North Carolina.

2.  Rebecca Helen Aycock was born 3 August 1959 in Washington County, North Carolina.

3.  David Gordon Aycock was born 24 June 1964. 

4.  Laursetta Rose Aycock was born 29 April 1941 in Wilson County, North Carolina. She married Edmond Eugene Hales on 32 December 1961 (per M. K. D. Holland, obviously a typo in the date). 
Children of Laursetta Rose Aycock: 

1.  Stephen Eugene Hales was born 4 January 1963 in Carteret County, North Carolina.

2.  Laura Yvonne Hales was born 26 October 1964.

9.  Zachary Videll Cuddington was born 13 November 1906.  He married Martha Louise Ballance on 21 January 1928.

1.  Jimmy Lafayette Cuddington was born 28 October 1928.  He married Ernestine Barnes who was born 26 August 1932.  She is the daughter of Lela Belle Holland and Levi Barnes.

1.  Levi Geral Cuddington was born 24 April 1955.

2.  Thomas Earl Cuddington was born 19 September 1933.  He married Joyce Marie Bradshaw who was born 29 December 1939.

1.  Relmer Thomas Cuddington was born 1 February 1958.

2.  Penelope Joyce Cuddington was born 26 September 1959.

3.  Malcolm Owen Cuddington was born 16 May 1963. 

10.  Maud Hazel Cuddington was born 26 September 1909 in Wayne County, North Carolina. She married George Vernon Stancil on 24 October 1925.  He was born 22 September 1906 in Johnston County, North Carolina.  Maude died 4 April 1939, at age 29.  She was buried in the Stancil Cemetery.  
Children of Maud Hazel Cuddington and George Stancil:

1.  Margaret Lee Stancil was born 24 September 1926 in Johnston County, North Carolina.  She was married on 11 April 1943 to James Ottis Montgomery. He was born 18 May 1923 in Johnston County, North Carolina.
Children of Margaret Lee Stancil and James Montgomery:

1.  Jerry Dennis Montgomery was born 15 December 1945 in Johnston County, North Carolina.  He married Linda Kaye Strickland, born 10 March 1947.

2.  James Bennie Montgomery was born 8 May 1949 in Johnston County, North Carolina.

3.  Jeffrey Vernon Montgomery was born 31 December 1963.

2.  Ruth Etta Stancil was born 27 April 1930 in Johnston County, North Carolina.  She was married on 28 April 1946 to Elmer Lewis who was born 19 September 1921 in Johnston County, North Carolina.  
Children of Ruth Etta Stancil and Elmer Lewis:

1.  George Michael Lewis was born 14 August 1956 in Wilson County, North Carolina.

2. Timothy Elmer Lewis was born 23 September 1959 in Wilson County, North Carolina.

3.  Verna Grey Stancil was born 1 March 1933 in Johnston County, North Carolina. She was married on 5 April 1953 to Atlas Gerald Johnson  who was born 17 November 1933 in Wake County, North Carolina. They did not have children.

4.  Buford Landon Stancil was born 29 September 1936 in Johnston County, North Carolina.  He was married on 8 May 1955 to Linda Jo Godwin  who was born 7 December 1938.
Children of Buford Stancil and Linda Jo Godwin:

1.  Joey Landon Stancil was born 19 July 1957 in Wilson County, North Carolina.

2.  Jamie Lynn Stancil was born 13 April 1960 in Wilson County, North Carolina. 

11.  Myrtle Irene Cuddington was born 1 June 1913 in Wayne County, North Carolina.  She married Willie Abner Hall on 6 December 1933.  He was born 12 October 1911 in Wayne County, North Carolina, son of Samuel McGowen Hall (b. 17 April 1873 in Anderson County, South Carolina, son of George Washington Hall and Sarah Ann Gambrell) and Nora Lee (daughter of Joab A. Lee and Betty Carraway Singleton).  Willie Abner Hall was the ninth child of ten siblings.  One of his siblings was Gracie Violet Hall Turner, born 10 October 1907.⁷⁴

1.  Nora Louvene Hall was born 14 February 1936 in Wilson County, North Carolina.  She married 28 October 1955 William Leslie Berry, born in 1929 in Wayne County, North Carolina, son of Ile Mae and Rodney Harris Berry

1.  William Roger Berry was born 17 September 1956.

2.  Jeffrey Spence Berry was born 12 September 1963.  

12.  Orabelle Cuddington was born 16 January 1916. She married Talmadge Nichols on 15 October 1932.

1.  Joyce Faye Nichols was born 3 November 1933.  She married William Watson on 2 September 1950. Children of Joyce Faye Nichols and William Watson:

1.  Eugene Watson was born 6 March 1951.

2.  Brenda Watson was born 23 December 1952.

3.  Grey Watson was born 15 May 1955.

2.  Gene Autry Nichols was born 20 October 1937.  He married Judy Union on 31 October 1959.

3.  Maude Diane Nichols was born 30 March 1951.
